This book still stands out nearly 40 years later as a fine overview of the production history of the Model A, along with detailed production figures and extensive original photos of cars--all in black and white, of course. Very comprehensive and complete, contains info not found in other publications I have. A great addition to any Model A library. You will be glad to have this in your collection as a useful reference on a great automobile.
The author examines the cars by year (or small group of years during the 20s when there was little change on an annual basis) with detailed photos.
With an eye towards restorers, he pays particular attention to mechanical details like carburetor, differntials, lights and switch gear. A detailed production list will help keep restores date the autos and assist them in matching similar age components.
The various models offered each year are illustrated, reprints of annual Ford brochures are also shown. Photos of unrestored survivors provide more details for car buffs, historians and restorers.
