Oldsmobile V-8 Engines: How to Build Max Performance
The traditional Oldsmobile V-8 powered some of the most memorable cars of the muscle car era, from the 442s of the 1960s and early 1970s to the Trans Ams of the late 1970s. These powerful V-8s were also popular in ski boats. They have found a new lease on life with the recent development of improved aftermarket cylinder heads, aggressive roller camshafts, and electronic fuel injection. Author Bill Trovato is recognized as being one of the most successful Oldsmobile engine experts, and he openly shares all of his proven tricks, tips, and techniques for this venerable power plant. In this revised edition of Oldsmobile V-8 Engines: How to Build Max Performance, he provides additional information for extracting the best performance. In particular, he goes into greater detail on ignition systems and other areas of performance. His many years of winning with the Olds V-8 in heads-up, street-legal cars proves he knows how to extract maximum power from the design without sacrificing durability. A complete review of factory blocks, cranks, heads, and more is teamed with a thorough review of available aftermarket equipment. Whether mild or wild, the important information on cam selection and Olds-specific engine building techniques are all here. Fans of the traditional Olds V-8 will appreciate the level of detail and completeness Trovato brings to the table, and his frank, to-the-point writing style is as efficient and effective as the engines he designs, builds, and races. Anyone considering an Oldsmobile V-8 to power their ride will save time, money, and headaches by following the clear and honest advice offered in Oldsmobile V-8 Engines: How to Build Max Performance. Plenty of full-color photos and step-by-step engine builds showcase exactly how these engines should be built to deliver the most power per dollar.

Original Dodge and Plymouth B-Body Muscle 1966-1970
The B-body accounted for a wide range of Chrysler Corporation muscle cars of the sixties and seventies, including the Charger, Road Runner, Super Bee, Satellite, GTX, and Coronet R/T. These cars brought a great deal of character to the muscle car scene and continue to be extremely popular today, particularly with Mopar fans, some of the most rabid car enthusiasts there are. The wide variety of engine options, from Hemi to Wedge to Ram, will be covered in detail, as will all the special editions that featured wild colors and unique bodywork--elements that were crucial to the mystique of these cars. The book will be filled with high-quality, detailed photos of cars that are either excellent originals or very accurate restorations.About the AuthorJim Schild is the publisher of The Auto Review and is the author of eight automotive books, including four for Motorbooks International. Original Rolls-Royce & Bentley 1946-65: The Restorer’s Guide to the ‘standard’ saloons and mainstream coachbuilt derivatives
The two decades between 1945 and 1965 saw some remarkable motor cars emerge from the new Rolls-Royce factory at Crewe. The Mark VI Bentley was the first model to be built entirely by Rolls-Royce, using a body supplied by Pressed Steel, although coachbuilt cars were still available. The Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn version followed in 1949, this and its Bentley sister both receiving 'big boot' bodies in 1952. Meanwhile the 120mph Continental appeared. The entirely new Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud and Bentley S-series, almost identical to each other, arrived in 1955, and from 1959 a V8 was installed. By their side, coachbuilt S-series Continentals continued. Original Rolls-Royce & Bentley 1946-65 is the essential companion to these cars. The aim of this book is to reveal, in words and color photographs, how the various models altered through the course of production. Drawing on factory records, parts lists, catalogs and other data, the author has provided a meticulous survey of the standard steel cars built at Crewe. Over 250 specially commissioned color photographs, showing the detail changes to these cars, accompany the authoritative text.

Patina: How to Create & Preserve
There was a time when a heavily weathered collector car or truck was considered a bit of an eyesore. In fact, if you brought one of these vehicles to a car show more than likely you would receive grief for showing a car with faded paint and surface rust. But not anymore. The era of patina on vehicles has been fully embraced, and rightfully so. Currently the genre is ripe with creation. Kevin Tetz of Paintucation has delivered the first book ever on the many variables involved with patina. In step-by-step format, Kevin walks you through creating patina from existing paint, preserving - already there - patina, and painting patina (steel, plastic, glass). Each process is unique and requires its own set of skills, procedures, and tools. With tens of millions of potential projects to consider, finding the right car or truck to patina shouldn't be a problem. And now with Patina: How to Create & Preserve you will have the perfect book to guide you through the patina process.

Plymouth and Chrysler-built cars Complete Owner’s Handbook of Repair and Maintenance, 1946-1955
This Plymouth Handbook deals mainly with the 1955 Plymouth and Dodge models but some space has been given to other Chrysler products. Although many components and repair procedures are the same for all Chrysler-built cars there are also many differences and it is of course impossible to deal with all these various aspects in a book this size. However, we have endeavored to make the best possible selection of subjects considered to be the most important to the average owner. Also many repair procedures on the more popular older models have been included and considerable attention has been given to the repair and adjustment of older type transmissions. The Hy-Drive and PowerFlite automatic transmissions are discussed in considerable detail, but mainly with the object of familiarizing the reader with the operation and construction of these units. It should be borne in mind that these transmissions (the PowerFlite in particular) are highly complicated and adjustments and repairs should be left only to those who possess the necessary know-how, experience and equipment to perform these delicate operations. To a great extent the same holds true for the Power Steering units and the electrical gear (starter motor, generator voltage regulator). Many thanks are due to the Chrysler Division, Plymouth Division, Dodge Division and De Soto Division of the Chrysler Corporation who have been kind enough to furnish extensive service information and the material upon which this handbook is based.
